Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Authorware 5 Attain Authorized (2nd Edition)
This is the worst book in the world! If you want to learn Authorware, it is impossible to understand what it says.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Don't waste your money
once again, Macromedia produces a great product with bad documentation. This "Authorized" version of the manual is not even as good as the help files that come with Authorware. Spend your money somewhere else.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Horrible - horrible!
I would have to say this is one of the worst >>worst<< tech books I have ever read. Its learn by doing approach leaves you with many, many questions about how to perform a lot of the basic functions that would have been easy to figure out had the author decided to actually detail the functionality of the program and how to use it. Instead, you walk through exercise after exercise (a nice supplement, yes, but this should not be the sole content of the book), covering a peice here and a peice there. Don't waste your money! The help pages that come with Authorware are better than this book.

I really wish someone would write a decent Authorware book; there doesn't seem to be anything worth buying out there.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great book for beginners
This is a great book for beginners. Kellogg does an excellent job explaining the basics of Authorware. I had no trouble taking what I learned in the book and applying it in my own Authorware projects. What this book doesn't cover are some of the other Authorware issues...like programming Authorware or using Authorware 5's new "Knowledge Objects". However, you will easily learn the basics of Authorware using this book. It's a very good place to start.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - too simplistic -- not worth the money if you're upgrading
I wouldn't recommend buying this book if you're upgrading from A4. This one shows you some of the bells & whistles but never gets down to the more complex stuff.
