I ordered this expecting to get a story with more detailed near
death experiences, but it was mainly about this young LDS man's valiant
effort to rise above adversity from leukemia and accomplish the desires of his heart while yet here on earth, so I was basically disappointed but for only that reason. Randy was one of life's true heroes who knew why we are here and how we should live, and it is a story that should be told. On the down side, I find written LDS dialog boring-it's so sweet and gooey that you know what the next line is before you even read it. We are a sweet gooey people, which is fine, but isn't there a way to tell a story with less sugar? I know I sound like American Idol's Simon, but this is my honest opinion.

This book was absolutely breathtaking. I would encourage anyone to read it of any faith.

First, I'm a big fan of Ron's work with Vital Smarts and LOVE Crucial Conversations and Influencer. This though may be his most impactful book yet! This book makes me want to try harder to be a better person. It is fun and entertaining yet serious and practical. I couldn't put "And Should We Die" down once I picked it up. I loan it to everyone I know and recommend it often.
Thanks, Ron, for penning Randy's story. I can't imagine how hard it must have been, but doing so has helped so many of us.

This is an excellent book. It is a great read, after reading "The Message", by Lance Richardson, the cousin of the authors, Ron and Randy McMillan. It filled in, for me, a few more layers, a few more answers regarding the process of physical death and life after this death, and our responsibility to fulfill specific purposes while we are here.

This book goes hand in hand with The Message by Lance Richardson. In fact the main persons in the stories are cousins. It is a book to keep forever. I really did not want either book to end.
