My "astro-ally" Eric has written a terrifically informative and wise book on Uranus. There's a wealth of information here, but the very last chapter on "Uranian Wisdom and Paradoxes" really spoke to me. I love how the Uranian viewpoint integrates the trickster archetype, and helps us grow...sometimes despite ourselves!
As an evolutionary astrologer, Eric and I also share a similar passion in the importance of the Nodes in the birth chart. My recent book: "North Node Astrology; Rediscovering Your Life Direction and Soul Purpose" is about illuminating what is unconscious in our psyche. Whether we point to the North Node, or the revolutionary impact of Uranus, our books point to a fascinating point: the ego wants to succeed; whereas the Soul wants to grow. As evolutionary astrologers, there's a desire here to help make conscious what is unconscious, and to empower our readers to make better choices based on more knowledge and self insight.

For some strange reason, I have always had a deep fascination with Uranus. I've even gone as far as to speculate whether Uranus emits an overwhelming odor and if that is why we haven't yet landed anyone on or near Uranus to explore it more thoroughly. Some of my friends think I go a little overboard with it and that I'm obsessed with Uranus. They've even yelled at me during softball games to "get your head out of Uranus!", which is sort of funny I guess.
This book was very helpful as far as things like the chapter on Uranus cycles. Sometimes you forget that Uranus is in a constant state of flux. And another cool thing about Uranus was the bit about the positioning of Uranus and how it relates to things like our love life. Who knew that the location of Uranus mattered so much in romance? Uranus blows me away sometimes.
