I got this trash can last month and I love it. The only thing I noticed is that since the lid isn't completely airtight, I had a small fruit fly incident once. But it still gets 5 stars.

I've had this product in my kitchen for some months now, and I love it as much as the first day I got it. It's an awesome addition to my kitchen. The only drawback I've had is when the bag is too heavy, the brace slips off it's lip. Still an awesome product tho...

I bought this trash can and it was great while it lasted, but it only went about 10 months. It no longer operates. Once in awhile the lid will go up, but then it stays up. I did the idiot check and replaced the batteries....no good. I won't buy this again.

I have had different kitchen trash cans over the years. The last few were plastic and not well made. They used tiny springs that would break or the little plastic piece that the spring fit on would break off. So, I tried the iTouchless and I am glad I did. This trash can not only looks nice, but works well also with the automatic lid.
The can takes 13 to 18 gallon plastic trash liners. Since, most of us have 13 gallon I found a problem. There is a ring that the liner wraps around so the liner does not show which gives a clean appearance. If you use the 13 gallon liners and fill it with heavy trash then the liner can slip off the holding ring and sink to the bottom of the can. If this happens to you, then use some Styrofoam or bubble wrap about 4 inches high and keep it in the bottom of the can. As for the retaining ring, this is a little tricky. I bought this to replace another stainless can because we kept having problems with the lids. My kids would frequently knock them off their mounting. With this can, noone touches the lid, so that never happens! The lid works flawlessly. The only thing that keeps me from rating this higher is the retainer ring, which makes bag replacement a little incovenient. You must "unwrap" the bag from the ring and remove the ring in order to remove a full bag of trash. But it's definitely worth it. I also like the slim line of the can, which helps keep it out of the way. I'd definitely recommend this product, particulary to families.
