Editorial Review:

Album Description:
International pressing of her 2008 album includes one bonus track: 'This Is How It Goes Down'. Pink comes right on time in 2008 with her highly anticipated and provocatively personal Funhouse album, addressing both her public and private persona, as only Pink can. Teaming once again with hitmakers Max Martin, Billy Mann, and others, Pink is poised to leave another memorable mark worldwide! Since her debut in 2000, Pink (Alecia Moore) has been widely hailed as a fearlessly talented singer, songwriter and the Pennsylvania native's genre-defying creative risk-taking has propelled her to global stardom. To date, the chanteuse has sold 22 million albums cumulatively worldwide. 13 tracks. Sony/BMG.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Just sharin'
This is one awesome CD. Such a variety of music. Some feel it is downbeat because of her situation as of late, but what sincere feeling she puts in every song on this CD. I don't think I ever noticed the beauty of her voice in previous releases. I think "Glitter In The Air" is probably my favorite, the keyboard and her voice are like one. The upbeat tracks get you moving. What a great CD!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Pink makes an interesting album. It's no I'm Not Dead, but it's close.
It takes a couple of listens to get into this. But maybe some Pink fans won't get into this much at all.

I somehow did.

I think I enjoy the underrated spunk of *ONE FOOT WRONG* most. It's very experimental sounding....kinda classic rock or something. And I'm not a big fan of classic rock but it sounds awesome. Very vibe-ish. Great vocal work.

I must say the production on this album is top notch though. Other favorites are the Electro pop of *SO WHAT*, the sincerity of *I DON'T BELIEVE YOU* and the dire need to express her exhaust with the world in *AVE MARY A*.

The only throwaway track to me is *CRYSTAL BALL*. Kinda slow and just boring.

4.2 stars - .2 for editing.

4 stars.

end note: The big thing about this album is yeah, it's kinda the divorce album so there's a lot of that break up stuff, but it's also a very slow album. There are 5 upbeat tracks at most out of the 12. But it's good if you give ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - "Funhouse" Review
P!nk is back with her new release 'Funhouse'. As a P!nk fan, I think this release definitely shows off her growth as an artist and her vocals are definitely on spot. I have to say that I felt 'Funhouse' is definitely different from her previous releases. It's more raw, gritty, featuring her vocals and ability to evoke emotion through her voice and words. This is not like any of her previous releases in that it's not overly produced and, to me, sounds a bit more stripped down and basic. Yet, it still works and stands out as one of this year's best releases.

The Good: In this release, the lyrics really stand out. Many of the songs' subject matter is lost love or the ins and outs of relationships. Most every song on this release definitely seems and feels more authentic. The sound or vibe of this release is more rock/acoustic than it is pop. "So What" stands out because its the most commercial/pop-sounding song on the cd. My personal favorite is the mellow "I Don't Believe You" ... Read More
