I have been using this for years. I put it in a spray bottle and spray a mist over the leather and let is soak in. It really softens the leather and helps it repel water. It works better than anything else I have used on coats and chaps. I sprayed it on my leather riding overalls and rode through rain on my Harley for 500 miles and it never soaked through. Let the leather dry and sprayed it down again looks like new. Good stuff, leather just soaks it up.
