I've always liked Ambassador and thought he was a nice "Christian Rapper," but this album transcends him to a level on par with the greatest emcees of all time. I've always loved hip-hop and when I became a Christian, I was satisfied with Cross Movement and company, but I never thought that Christian rappers were on par with what I used to listen to (secular). But this album has changed my mind completely. It is so good I dare anyone to compare it to any of the top selling artists in the secular genre. I let some of my friends who usually don't like "Christian Rap" listen to it and they loved it. My mom loves the song "Gimme Dat" and she's not much of a hip-hop enthusiast. If you are a lover of just beats and don't really listen to the lyrics, then you'll love the sound of almost every track. If you are a lover of lyrics as well as beats then you are really in for a treat. Abassador makes reference to pop culture, gospel songs, and living the Christian life in an esoteric way. ... For those of you who have read my reviews, you'll know that I have been critical of previous Cds The Thesis & Christology. So why buy this, his third CD. Well, the title, from Milk to Meat, had me intrigued. I thought that he might have abandoned his hook oriented efforts of the past, to delve into something deeper, a la Shai Linne, or Evangel, or the usual releases coming out of the Lampmode label. Alas I was wrong. To these ears this is a continuation of the previous two joints, that whilst not awful, doesn't do much for me. If you, like the stuff from this artist that has gone before, than this will definitely be your thing. If you are expecting a departure and something solid to get your teeth into, you may, like me, end up disappointed.

...he would go by the pseudonym, The Ambassador. The Cross Movement are practically modern day apostles and evangelists. They have taken Jesus and his message to the foreign world known as "Hip Hop Culture". The Ambassador, who lives up to his impeccable reputation as a qualified and learned theologian, really challenges us to mature beyond the simple matters of the faith and to grow into a greater understanding of God, Jesus, and their Holy Word.
As a "young man" (early 30's so I am somewhat a contemporary of the Ambassador) who is a life long member of a southern Pentecostal/ Holiness church I remember hearing the older Christians repeatedly telling us that..."It costs something to live this holy life. You might have to give up your friends." Or they would often say..."This is a suffering way." This is a message taught by Jesus himself but is rarely emphasized in many churches today. It was so refreshing to hear The Ambassador's song, "Cost" which addresses this ... Read More

This album is executed with master craftsmenship from a master emcee ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD!!! I personally enjoy listening to The Ambassador because I know he is original in style, and very serious about communicating CHRIST'S message with biblical proof to back it up. With Hip-Hop being more and more violent, sexual, perverse, and anti-Christian, its good to hear music coming out that challenges us as youth to GET RIGHT AND LIVE HOLY!!! The way I see it, if he can do it, I can do it. We all have similar vices, especially Hip-Hoppers!!! But if we sacrifice within ourselves our own personal sins and desires, and put Christ First in our lives, we will reach the full happiness and prosperity God wants for us! I know its hard brothas and sistas in Christ, but we have to see past what this world has to offer. Everyday people do things to gain worldly fame, but they bear no spiritual fruit. Let us spread the word of God with integrity and discipline!!!! The youth listened to 50 Cent because ... Read More
