This is almost the perfect follow up to Afrodesiac. I love that Brandy is just focusing on her style of art, and not trying to sound or be like anything or anyone else. It's nice to mature as a person and to see an artist I've grown up admiring mature as well, and not afraid to go her own way. It's also refreshing to have songs with positive messages and vibes in the r&b world.

This is the best Brandy album ever, and I have them all. More introspective and emotional than her past albums, none-the-less my favorite to date.

It has been nearly 5 years since Brandy released the personal and emotive album "Afrodisiac". Afrodisiac received nearly flawless reviews from the media but the success of the singles and album sales left much to be desired. This also rings true for her 5th studio album; "Human". This record is flawless from start to end; showcasing Brandy's powerful contralto over the most beautiful, melodic musical compositions I have ever heard from ANY artist. Her first single "Right Here (Departed) "is truly spectacular and personal as the singer finds the perfect balance between Pop & R&B and even incorporates a bit of country into her vocal presentation resulting in a truly stellar song that should have sky rocketed straight up the billboard charts; but sadly only peaked at number 34 on the Hot 100 and performed poorly in overall audience impressions.
