This book was fun, entertaining, and interesting but not as good as everyone says it is. The writing was juvenile and not deep, it had a simple plot and predictable ending. It was written well with suspention and details. The only reason this book did well, though, is becuase teenage girls think Edward is cute. This series is over estimated and did not meet my expectations. It was a good book though, and I couldn't wait to finish it. The first book definitely makes you want to read the rest.I would reccomend this book to imature preteens, vampire enthusiasts, and people who want to know what all the talk is about. Just don't have that high of expectations when you begin to read this book. It is a whonkin 450+ novel so don't expect it to be a piece of cake. Stephanie Meyer is a skilled writer indeed, but could do better. If this book was a little less juvenile, it probably wouldn't of been such a big hit; Meyer was just keeping her adience in mind. If you don't read this book, your not missing out on much.

I love, love, love this book. It is so innocent, romantic, and fun. I couldn't put it down. I immediately went out and bought the New Moon (read that in a day) and bought the next two online (arriving today yaa!!!). I normally don't read romance books but I thought the movie looked cute and read some reviews saying that it is better to read the book before you see the movie. I picked up the book on a whim and was done with it the day I started reading it. Really glad I read the book before I saw the movie because I probably wouldn't have read a page based on the mediocre job they did. Read the book if you haven't BEFORE you see the movie. The movie might not be as good if you read it but you'll be able to see the depth of their love that the movie completely skipped over.
I really hope that Stephanie Meyer continues the 5th book!!!!! I won't read the draft that she published online that someone illegally put on the internet before it was done(thanks a lot by the way). Please, please, please keep writing about Edward and Bella!!!!!!!!

I am torn about how I feel about this book. I am very disturbed that it has been suggested to me that 10 year olds are reading this. This is not a Harry Potter Book people. Please read what your children are reading, or at least take a minute and read the cover.
My over all. It's ok. I enjoyed reading it. It's not really geared for adults. It is definately a teen read, junk food for the adolenscent mind.
With ideas of the mysterious vampire guy from school laying in bed next to me at night, and intimate moments of deep intense foreplay I really can't say a 10 year old would understand.
The two main characters are well developed and the relationship is believable the further you read. The rest of the story fades. As the first of 4 I hope they get better. There is only so much of the bruting vampire one can handle.
Go see the movie after reading this. It makes you feel much better that you read the book. The emotions translated to film are worth it. I just wish the film company went a tad deeper with the relationship of the rest of the characters. It's gonna make it a bitch to explain things in the sequal.

This book is flat. Flat boring!
There is nothing wrong with a simple teen romance plot (and it is a very simple plot) if the author has the characters to support it. Twilight does not. The characters are one dimensional and sexist. Appearently Meyer's believes that if the Herion (who is 15!) doesn't inspire lust in every male creature she encounters then she's not interesting enough to be the lead. Also, that all males who are not beautiful "like diamonds" than its ok to treat them like lesser beings and those who are beautiful should be forgiven of all sins. Same for the girls. All characters seem very vain and shallow, but mostly boring.
I have read a lot of books and can honestly say this one is the worst I have ever read.

This awesome book by Stephenie Meyer, is about a girl named Bella, who goes to Phenox to visit her dad, who got divorced, long back when Bella was just a little baby. So, when she goes to Phenox, that means that she has to go to a different school. With all new people. She gets nervous a lot. But, she gets through the day, fine. She meats this beautiful boy. Named, Edward. Btu it turns out that he is a vampire. So, they really like each other, so know they become boyfriend and girlfriend. And they live happily ever after. THE END!!!
